Cursillo de Cursillos
Summary
The founder, Eduardo BonnĂn developed a Cursillo de Cursillos - beyond Cursillo - to give Cursillistas a deeper understanding of the foundational charism; mentality, essence, purpose, strategy, and methodology of the Cursillo Movement. The first United States English Speaking Cursillo De Cursillos was presented in October 2009 in the Archdiocese of Miami. Since then, Cursillo de Cursillos have been held in the Diocese of Ft. Worth, Archdiocese of San Antonio, Archdiocese of Seattle, Diocese of Bridgeport, and the Diocese of Rapid City. Other Cursillo de Cursillos are planned for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and the Diocese of San Diego.

This inspiring three-day workshop has a more relaxed atmosphere than the Cursillo Weekend
with plenty of time for sharing and asking questions and reflection from Thursday evening through Sunday evening. A team from Regional and National presents living, personal experiences during rollos and meditations based on the Cursillo book entitled Structure of Ideas to help encourage on-going conversion through encounters with oneself, Christ, and others.

There are five meditations presented during the Cursillo de Cursillos: Who Am I, Do I Know Myself; Who Is Christ, Do I Know Him; In What Disposition Does Christ See Me Now; Christ the Leader, and How Does Christ Want Me From Now On. The rollos presented include: The Preliminary Rollo, Mentality, Essence and Purpose, Strategy, Living and Sharing What Is Fundamental to being a Christian, Dangers and Deviations, The Cursillo Movement in the Pastoral Ministry of the Church, Precursillo, Cursillo Weekend, The Group and Its Reunion, The Ultreya and Its Sessions, School of Leaders, Secretariat, The Priest in the Cursillo Movement, and the Functions of the Lay Cursillo Leader.

Participants find ways to support each other for an effective movement in the diocese by personally learning the ‘why’ we do what we do in Cursillo and it provides the means for Cursillistas to form and maintain Friendship Groups, conduct an efficient School of Leaders, organize effective Ultreyas, collaboration between the Secretariat and School of Leaders, conduct authentic 3-Day Weekends, and implement an authentic Precursillo, Cursillo, and Post-Cursillo based on the love of God and neighbor and built on the spirit of friendship which is the best means to communicate God’s love with one another.

For more information, read the article listed on the National Cursillo web site School of Leaders
page called Cursillo de Cursillos–What is it? Cursillistas are also encouraged to read the February 19, 2008 address by Pope John Paul II encouraging Movements to rediscover their charism.
